Meet Vladimir Simic, system engineer at Infiniti Energy ITSS with more than 13 years of experience in the profession, most of them in the banking sector. He draws the strength for the endless patience that his work requires from extreme sports and time spent in nature.

1. What is your favorite time of year and why?

I feel best in autumn and winter because I cannot stand high temperatures. In addition to enjoying the colder weather, I love winter because of the opportunity to enjoy one of my favorite adrenaline sports - skiing. I also enjoy mountain biking especially downhill but lately with two small children at home I have kept these activities to a minimum. However, we all make the most of the opportunity to spend time in nature. :)

2. How would you react if your children focused on extreme sports? Would you set any boundaries?

I would not set boundaries for them because I want to move them myself. I would express my parental care more in the form of tips that would help them stay safe in their pursuit of adventure.

3. Is there an adrenaline sport that attracted you a lot, and you have not had the opportunity to try it until now?

Yes, at the top of my bucket list are serious bungee jumping and paragliding.

4. Did the need for adrenaline affect your career choice in a sector that is full of serious challenges on a daily basis?

I think that in this area the challenges were not a decisive factor, because I have had a strong inclination towards informatics and technical sciences in general since I was a child. My work is full of challenges, but overcoming them requires more patience, perseverance, and analytical skills. Maybe hence the need to "reset" with activities based on speed and adrenaline. :)

5. What is the latest novelty that has made your job drastically easier?

Honestly, I could not single out one specific novelty because all the new technologies are very helpful from different aspects. In general, the ability to migrate existing cloud solution infrastructures is something that brings great benefits to both our customers and us who take care of the security and functionality of their systems.

6. How and why did you become part of the Infinitу team?

The whole story about Infinity happened at a moment when I felt that I needed a change, and the very idea of participating in building a new company in our market (despite the support we have from our group) was a big enough and refreshing challenge. :)

7. Based on the cooperation with the team so far, which three aspects would you point out as the biggest advantages of Infinity Energy ITSS?

From what I have seen and felt so far, the collegiality, the pleasant working atmosphere, and the open opportunities for progress are the aspects that left the biggest impression on me.
